THAILAND
Thailand – A Journey Beyond the Destination
This trip to Thailand was my first intercontinental adventure with friends — and while the beaches, food, and chaos of travel made it unforgettable, what truly stayed with me wasn’t a place, but a person.
What started as a plan between my childhood friend Kevin and me quickly turned into something more. At the time, Annina was temporarily living in Kevin’s shared flat, and since they got along well, he suggested she join the trip. I didn’t know her back then — but over the course of planning and eventually traveling together, that random connection turned into one of my closest friendships to this day.
It’s not easy to form meaningful bonds once you leave school and step into working life. But somewhere between the deep talks, shared laughs, spontaneous adventures, and the occasional travel bickering, something real and lasting grew.
This trip reminded me that the most valuable things we take from travel aren’t always photos or postcards — sometimes, they’re people.
